Two decades ago, the Historic Eno River Mill was transformed from a working textile mill to a multi-tenant commercial complex. It now houses 16 businesses including Weaver Street Markets’ corporate offices and commissary, Mystery Brewing Company, The Expedition School and The Cloth Mill at Eno River. The Mill is also home to many specialty manufacturers and distributers including furniture, pharmaceuticals and natural products. The Eno River Mill continues its century long tradition as a hub for economic activity, providing repurposed spaces for creative businesses in a historic location.

Orange County Tackles MST Planning
What is MST?
The Mountains To Sea Trail is a simple footpath that crosses the state from the mountains to the coast. It’s not a wide, paved, fancy greenway, but a long distance trail for hiking and backpacking. It’s the premier hiking trail in the state’s trail program. MST is part of our State Parks.
Orange County will tackle planning and building the Mountains-to-Sea Trail to connect Saxapahaw to Hillsborough. The county commissioners endorsed and encouraged the local planning efforts in November after a group of MST supporters urged the county to be a leader in supporting MST. The MST planning corridor was first endorsed by the county in 2010 and the project is part of the county’s recreation master plan.
The planning process could take up to six months. The March 2016 Connect NC bond package includes $75 million for state parks with $4.5 million allocated for MST.
In Orange County, MST will run 25-28 miles, beginning at the Haw River in the SW corner, cross OWASA’s Cane Creek Reservoir property heading NE until it connects with Seven Mile Creek Preserve and Occoneechee Mountain SNA near Hillsborough, following the Eno River through Hillsborough’s Riverwalk and onto Eno River State Park into Durham County and Falls Lake.
We are fortunate here at the Eno River Mill to be so close to this incredible trail system! So take a break, get outdoors and explore the trails!
