Three decades ago, the Historic Eno River Mill was transformed from a working textile mill to a multi-tenant commercial complex.

It now houses more than a dozen businesses including Weaver Street Markets’ corporate offices and commissary, The Expedition Charter School and The Cloth Mill at Eno River.  The Mill is also home to the Orange County Arts Mill Studios, Broadreach Fitness and Guardian Band, as well as other specialty manufacturers and distributors of a wide variety of commercial, craft and artisanal products.

The Eno River Mill continues its over a century long tradition as a hub for economic activity, providing repurposed spaces for creative businesses in a historic location.

Welcome Orange County Arts Commission

The Orange County Arts Commission (OCAC), seeks to activate Hillsborough’s historic Eno River Mill through the arts, providing a critical need for the creative community of Orange County, as well as generating economic impact for the surrounding area.  This undertaking will take place in phases, beginning with artist studio spaces, and eventually providing possible spaces such as performing arts space, arts-retail space, and a variety of maker spaces.

The Arts Mill Studios are located in a 2,970 square foot space within Hillsborough’s historic Eno River Mill. The mill is located in West Hillsborough, within walking distance to neighborhood restaurants and shops. It currently features nine private studios with two additional studios being created in late June. This is the first phase of plans for the Eno River Mill.
